Trunk cables and jumper cables

Trunk cables

Trunk cables are available with SM and OM3 fibers. There are two different sizes of casings. The smaller casing is intended for 12- and 24-fiber trunk cables and the larger one for 48-fiber trunk cables. The other end of the cable is already installed in the housing. There are two grommets on the side of the smaller case, both of which have a 6 x 6 mm openings. There are four grommets in the larger case. 12 to 24 jumper cables can be connected, depending on the enclosure. The dimensions of the smaller case are 255 x 180 x 92 mm, and the larger one is 361 x 200 x 152 mm and they are IP67 rated.

The other end is inside a protective tube for installation. The fibers of both ends are colour-coded and numbered, so the corresponding pair is easy to find.

SM products whose name starts with MK/PAN come automatically with a 19" panel with adapters that can be installed at the other end of the cable. In other SM and OM3 products, the panel must be ordered separately.

SM trunk cables with 12, 24 and 48 fibers and OM3 trunk cables with 12 fibers have identification codes for basic lengths which can be found in the attached tables. 20m and 30m trunk cables are delivered in coils and longer ones in carboard or plywood reels.

The 48-fiber trunk cables are divided into mast and real estate applications. In mast sites, the casing is at the outer end of the coil, and in real estate sites at the inner end.

Jumper Cables

Jumpers are available with NSN flex rubbers. The rubber can be on both ends or on one end. The peeled portion of the cable is protected with armoring. We have SM jumpers of different length in stock. We do not hold OM3 jumpers in store at the moment.

Armored jumper cables

We provide jumper cables with armoring. They have regular LC connectors, but the length of the peeling is different, and the fibers are armored.

IP67 rated connectors

Jumper cables with LC/UPC connectors at both ends. One or both ends have IP67 rating for connectors. The IP67 connectors are compatible with FullAXS connectors.

IP-RC connector

In addition, our range includes an IP-RC connector (7268200), which is a retrofit IP67 connector. It's compatible with Ericsson's antennas, for example.
